Spring Break tomorrow. Thank heavens. I am feeling completely overwhelmed. I don't feel like I am getting a handle on working/life with two kids. I am either tired, moody, or just numb.
Katelyn is not getting into the swing of things. She drinks very little from bottles and spends much of the afternoons with Grant fussy or screaming. She does fairly well with me in the evenings and on weekends, but sometimes wont let anyone but me or Danny hold her and will cry if put down. She has good periods, where she'll play - she likes being on the floor laying on her back, and in her bouncer seat the best.
She's three months now, so I hope she outgrows these crying jags soon.
Katelyn is very visual. She is already attracted by the TV and she loves watching the fish on her bouncer and the mobile on her swing. She does really well when we are out and about.
When she is happy, though, it is so much fun. I think she is going to have dimples. She LOVES to talk, and she will babble away for long periods. Very cute and fun. Sometimes she'll just give a squeal sigh of happiness that melts my heart. Sometimes when I feed her in the morning before work she'll stop eating and just look up at me for a few minutes and smile. She'll see my face in the glow of the iphone that I use to help see her latch on, and she'll just stop and make eye contact. I know she loves me so much already.
Geoffrey is being an awesome big brother. He likes to swing her and help change her. He's so patient when I need to feed her - poor guy - and does well despite Katelyn needing so much attention right now. His vocabulary is increasing and it is so fun to hear him talk "Well actually..." "We have plenty of that..." "The trash trucks are out on Beach Blvd." "This is Miss Lisa's trash." Just adorable!
