Our Easter activities kicked off this year with a trip to Atlantis Park and their fourth annual egg-scavation. Similar to their Halloween and Christmas events, only a limited number of tickets were sold. We really enjoyed this event! The weather was cool and overcast, but we had fun anyway! Geoffrey enjoyed playing the little carnival games. They also had bounce houses. The egg hunts were split up into age groups - Geoffrey was in the 3 - 4 age range. Parents were not allowed in, which admittedly made me a little nervous at first, but was actually a good thing because it gave all of the kids a fair chance. They were also supposed to use the small paper bags they were given when they walked in, which only held a limited number of eggs - again, this helped make it fair. Geoffrey was so funny at the hunt. Since we couldn't go in, we reminded him to collect the eggs into his bag, and we would open them when we were done. Despite our briefing, he went out, found eggs, opened them, dumped the candy into his bag, and tossed the empty egg aside. Ha ha! He also got interviewed on the Garden Grove channel!
Geoffrey was able to practice his hunting skills again at his Easter Egg Hunt in Miss Lisa's class.
On Good Friday, we had our 2nd Annual Allen kids egg hunt at Joanne Love's house. We had such a good time visiting with our school friends. Joanne had rented a bounce house which was a nice added touch and we had a good time.
On Saturday, we went to Grandpa Bob and Grandma Dee Dee's house for brunch and jacuzzi time, and on Easter Sunday we had an Egg Hunt and dinner and Grandpa Gary and Nonna's house. The Magic Hider (AKA Grandma Patty and Grandpa Bobby) surprised us with some Easter presents too!
What a fun year!
