Geoffrey has this saying, "don't tell me." We are not quite sure what it means all the time, although I think it means don't say anything or don't talk about it. For example he'll use it when he goes poop in his pull up at nap time and he doesn't want you to say anything, like he is wanted to talk about it . He will say, " don't tell me don't tell me." Or other times he'll use it when he's playing a game and he's trying to figure something out and then he will say, "don't tell me don't tell me" llike he wants to figure it out on his own.
So cute, I always want to remember that.

Daddy, watch this!
"daddy, watch this," said Geoffrey, as he clomped around the dinner table wearing grant's tennis shoes.

Katelyn's 2 month well-visit
Katelyn had her 2 month check with Dr. Kasamatsu. Katelyn weighs 12 pounds 15 ounces (which puts her in the 90-95th percentile for weight) 22 3/4 inches long (50th percentile). She is very strong - the doctor was impressed with how high she held her head up and how she held her body stiff and strong when Dr. K held her up. No limp weak girl for us!
When we explained Katie's symptoms (gurgling, grunting, arching back, general fussiness), the doctor thought she might have "silent reflux," (because she doesn't spit up a lot). We are going to try her on zantac to see if it makes a difference.
She had 3 shots and an oral vaccination.
We brought Geoffrey along. His mood was completely different knowing that this was a visit for Katelyn - he was very chatty with the doctor and in a generally good mood.

And on we go...
Mom left last week. Danny has been a big help getting Geoffrey up in the morning (considering Geoff sleeps about 8 hours at night, if we don't go to bed right when he does, we're tired.)
Katelyn is doing well at home with Grant and Geoffrey and Danny. She has good mornings, but it does seem like she is mostly sleeping or fussing. She will be awake and happy for short periods but then she usually starts fussing. She drinks small amounts at a time, but is getting better about drinking from a bottle. The general vibe though is that she drinks enough to be comfortable until Mommy comes home to feed her. My friend Julie gave me a "Nap Nanny," which is like a foam bed that has an incline - sort of like a car seat but not as inclined. It is nice because it keeps Katelyn more upright while she sleeps, but she doesn't slide down like she does in her crib on the wedge. Out of the last 8 nights, she has slept from 10:30 - 7:00 five times!
Geoffrey has been a pretty good, too. He can be very helpful and really seems to love katelyn. Sometimes he will gently push her in her swing and sing to her. We were at Sizzler today for Andy's birthday and Katelyn was awake in her chair, and Geoffrey held her hand and just started talking to her. He is doing well in preschool. We also registered him for preschool for next year - we decided on Hilltop Preschool. I really feel that this is a good choice for him and I am excited. it seems like a very creative atmosphere, and it is a play-based program that I was hoping to find. He has been better about picking up his toys (at times).
We "finished" the play room. Grant and Bobby painted it and we cleaned out all unnecessary furniture. It is really nice to have a place to keep the majority of his toys.
As for me, my mood is variable. SOme days I feel like I have a really god handle on things. At other times, I feel overwhelmed and emotional. Here I am, with my family. My two little kids. I love them so much...

Geoffrey's 3 year Visit
WAY behind on blogging... Back to work has been crazy - some days I feel great and other days I feel completely overwhelmed. Anyways...
Geoffrey had his 3 year check up on his 3rd birthday with Dr. Fields. He was VERY shy and apprehensive. He didn't want to step on the scale at first, and he was timid with the doctor. He is growing very well though and everything looks good. He weighs 34 pounds and is almost 38 inches tall.
Its so hard now that he goes so rarely and has to get shots each time he goes. :o(

Cacuzzi
Katelyn has been in the jacuzzi or "cacuzzi" twice now. She really seems to like it! She went in when she was 6 weeks and then again at 7 weeks.
